Wow, I was on this post ages ago! I wanted to say that I still really ship this. More so than I did before, actually. I think that Annie would be an anchor for Fi while also not shutting her passion for the paranormal down like almost everyone else does. Annie is a musician and Fi has a family full of them which would be a connection to HOME for Fi as they grew older and Fi left the nest. Annie could play music for Fi while she researched on her laptop and defend her against the skeptics mockery. She could also tell Fi when it's time to relax and worry about her OWN safety over her curiosity which I think would be good for Fi. Fi could encourage Annie to stay out of her comfort zone and to keep taking chances. Sometimes Annie hesitates. (Like in the 'Grave mistake' episode where she ran and hid under the covers.) I think Fi could help her continue to grow and understand herself as well as her panther spirit guide, etc. They could have a lot of in depth discussions about their adventures. I think it would be really cute.

Even in Lightning Rod, the only time they got to collaborate together, I love their chemistry and bouncing off each other. I like Annie's empathy and heart, its a quality her and Fi share, but in different ways. While Fi is a little bit more hard with her heart, Annie is softer. I could totally imagine Annie telling Fi, "you just got to chill out and relax some times, we can always worry about this tomorrow." I like how Molly helps bring Annie out of her shell (like in Carnival) but I agree, Fi could do this at well. Fi would love the panther and be totally down for helping Annie figure it all out... that might have been a cool finale - Fi putting the panther pieces together if they could of snagged Cara to do a guest appearance! Its cool to think about how Fi and Annie could travel through the paranormal together - with Rick and the panther at their side. Oh, the possibilities!!
