You all did a great job on the Medium podcast, I listened to the Angel, Rebecca, and Memory podcasts which I enjoyed as well.
I liked the connections you made between Medium & Will O' The Wisp about Fi trying to connect with her father. Medium was definitely the best season premier of the show and I remember the promos for it on Disney, it set the scene for this being a "different kind of season" and of course a different kind of show for Disney. I wish we could of heard Jack's "colorful" diatribe with the medium-- but then I'm wondering if maybe the medium mistook Jack for Clu because he was out there skateboarding at the time and it sounds more in Clu's character to do something like that at the time. The ending, especially the rain with the guitar music was very emotional.
I didn't quite understand Molly's constant perfection seeking with "She Sells" in this episode and what connection it has to Rick. Was he haunting her? It seems like something maybe they underplayed a bit- Molly's instance to Fi that "he won't leave me alone." Do you think theres more to that?
Also, do you think Irene had overheard Rick saying "they ain't paying to hear you talk so you better sing" or was it just a coincidence?
Really looking forward to the rest of your podcasts, especially Siren!

I love Siren, definitely a top 5 of S2 for me I loved hearing your insights on Drive. The episode is pretty average for me but still some good comic relief and character development. I like how you point out the good character transitioning this show does (mentioning Carey coming on before Siren). As someone mentioned before, the show does such a good job “taking care” of its characters. Besides the humorous scenes, the best parts for me were the /Molly bonding and Jack/Clu saying their preemptive “goodbyes.” I’m curious why Molly is doing yet another studio recording of She Sells - this time with back-up singers. Do you think the “back-up singers” is what she thought was missing in Medium? She definitely seems more enthusiastic and confident in the song in this episode than in Medium. LOL @ Fi turning in her 53 page alien research report to . I loved that bit. You guys mentioned the website and initial promos for the show so I just wanted to share a few of the things I remember. The SoWeird website was at the actual SoWeird.com and did look pretty similar to Fi’s site on the show. I remember it did also have information and/or links to paranormal things at least in the beginning. I remember the initial promos were very cryptic and would be scenes of Molly and Fi talking from Family Reunion (“I’m not as sure about things as you are Fi,” and “Mom, do you believe me?”) or from Memory, they showed random scenes of the aliens and Fi running but they were very out of the ordinary and cryptic and would stay stuff like “Something So Weird is coming to Disney.” I don’t even remember knowing the name of the show was So Weird in their initial promotions of it. I DO recall in the promo for “Siren” they stated it was guest starring “Flash Forward’s Jewel Staite,” as FF was running in infinite reruns at that time. I don’t know if most people knew that at the time because its a total 180 from Becca Fisher. When Molly tells Evelyn “she is me, 20 years ago” I was confused by that. Then her singing Rebecca on the guitar, do you think Molly has more connection to Carrie than it appeared? Thanks for listening to my diatribe and for keeping the memories alive. We should Amazon also since they have a lot of stuff on Instant Video and most of the DCOMs are already on there. It would be so easy to simply give the episodes to Amazon for purchasing by episode or season. Let’s keep pushing because I think the show is such a gem as many people as possible should be able to see it and I hope it can be exposed to a whole new fan base Keep up the amazing work!

Thank you for the new Siren podcast, I really enjoyed listening. I love that So Weird is a creative canvas for many different opinions and perspectives. As far as Carey’s introduction, Siren does it well. I’m glad So Weird didn’t spend a whole episode just introducing him but instead creatively weaved a really interesting plot around him. I like how this episode shows how close Molly’s family is with Irene and ’s. I like Callie’s character and the unique spin on the Siren and pop star this episode takes. However, I wish So Weird was an hour long show (don't we all ) because it would have been fun to get more on Callie’s backstory, where she came from, and how Evelyn trapped her.Even though a lot happens in Siren, it still like one of SW’s slower episodes (Angel, Tulpa, Medium)- and those tend to be my favorites. Then you have Molly singing Rebecca at the end, the history with Evelyn, Fi’s compassion for Callie’s gift from her father, the Questions song, and the light love story between Carey and Callie are all some of the reasons why its one of my S2 favorites. Nightmare. I don’t really care for the storyline with Danny (he’s a bit of an annoying brat IMO) but its funny how Irene’s sister is so pretentious while Irene is so real and down to earth. However, I love the darker moments we get to see- the night Rick died, Fi and Jack’s continual grief, and Jack at the grave yard is just haunting. Jack’s dream at the end always gives me goosebumps. Keep the faith - your all doing an amazing job!

We love making podcasts for So Weird and have decided to pay to keep the episodes on iTunes and available for download. While we do not ask for any donations, some people have expressed they would be happy to donate. And so, we have created a Patreon Thank you for the support as always. www.patreon.com/soweird

Great job on the Nightmare podcast. This episode is a great follow up to Medium. This is the first episode where we see Jack and Fi's raw and unfiltered emotion to their dealing (or lack thereof) of Rick's death. Sometimes I try to watch So Weird as a first time viewer (as hard as that is) because I get a new perspective on it. Nightmare really sets the stage for what is to come but because it is so ambiguous here, it just deepens the mystery. As the viewer pretending to watch for the first time, I have all these questions about Rick's death and it is also the first hint we get that Rick was investigating the paranormal as Fi is doing now. There is a lot there.
It amazes me how much So Weird is able to jam pack into just 24 minutes and how deeply they are able to get into the story. It might be because their sub-plots are so well integrated into the main plot but they never lose sight of the goal or message. I love how you mention this episode beginning the Molly/Carey ship/arc. Yes, I am a believer, theres just too much going on. I nearly spilled my drink in laughter when you said Carey wasn't in the dream because of course - he was dreaming about Molly!
I knew that New Math was "inspired by" the bratty Danny situation but didn't know it was selectively edited to pull the punches back in Listen. Its such an upbeat song, but I could totally see it being the vocal score to a new Molly and Carey romance video about their new relationship and age difference. Origami could be a good tune for that as well. The only Molly/Carey video on YouTube I've found is the Last Year's Love one so we need some more.
I have a question about Listen because I can't figure out how it fits into the alien arc given the original plans for Season 3. Were the aliens trying to contact Fi and get her ready to listen? Seems like a lot of effort to go through. I heard that in Memory the aliens were actually trying to contact Fi there but couldn't so they had to erase everyone's memory and bounce.
THANK YOU for the podcasts and please keep up the great work!

Listen is a good episode; I like the furthering of the Molly/Carey connection and the farm angle. I am glad they raised the issue of farming, how hard it is, and the thinning of traditional family farming via corporate farms. I wish Gabe had been mentioned in this episode, maybe Molly could have found out about the farming issue through Jack and Gabe. Jack seemed annoyed at Fi and I think he really was angry at her, for her making them both miss Molly and Carey's first concert together (which btw looked very chummy!). I would like the episode a lot more had it been able to continue and conclude properly. It makes me so curious what the aliens were doing there in that small town, why ESP, and why did they want everyone to listen. Were they specifically targeting Fi or was it something bigger? So much we will never know. I can totally see a season 3 that still carries out much of the original plans without Cara. One idea i had was during Twin, both Rick AND Fi get knocked off the ledge by the monster and then the Phillip's and Bell's have to band together to find them. I can see Annie coming into this season as well as James cousin or sister. I like the moment when and Irene watch Carey on stage and Irene has her arms crossed but still nods her head, its like a message that even though Carey disappointed her, she is still proud of him. Mutiny - don't cross the NUS!! I wish there was a YouTube video showcasing 's fantastic motoring skills

Great job on the Mutiny podcast. I thought the episode was just ok, but Dave Ward definitely should have gotten one of those kids choice awards for his acting in the episode. The scene where he is yelling at the kids to let him out of the room was definitely a different side of his acting we normally don't see on the show. It's also a shame that it's the last time that we see Clu until season 3, which is a shame for those of you Flu shippers out there,. I don't think of Clu, not only as a comic relief, but also as Disney's version of a stoned teen. I also believe that this episode is one of only two episodes that is centric, with the other being Fall. I am looking forward to the next podcast on, "Boo" as it's a great episode, and I watch it every Halloween. Not only is it the only Halloween themed episode, but it also features Executive Producer Henry "The Fonz" Winkler.
