Jack thinks their mother's new love interest is a merman.

So, I am being incredibly lazy with the photoshopping of the photos I took in Vancouver... as in I took 400, I narrowed the number to 77, and I only finished ten so far. #PhotographerStruggles ANYWHO... here are two that I took from the aquarium that was featured in this episode! You might recognize the statue in the first picture. I am pretty sure the moon jellies weren't in the episode, but I thought I'd include that one as well because it's pretty to look at.

This was also taken inside the aquarium... I am pretty sure it's newer than this episode though.

I can't see the pics for some reason. I'd love to see them though!

Very cool! I think I remember that statue. It's been a reaaaaaally long time, though.

Yeah, the statue was featured in the episode! You can see it when Molly is waiting for Lal outside the aquarium.

I've noticed that most of the SW fandom on Tumblr and the podcast isn't too fond of this episode, but I personally enjoy it quite a bit, mostly because I'm very biased toward anything to do with merfolk, my favorite mythical creatures. It's a real shame due to the show's relatively low budget that we don't get to see any tail, and I wish Fi took a more proactive role in the ep instead of spending most of it studying in a hotel room though. Lal's obviously too creepy and manipulative to ship Molly with seriously, but I found it pretty refreshing that they did a seductive merman instead of the usual alluring mermaid. He's basically a male siren-like figure, which you don't see too often. Male merfolk need more love in general, as too often people seem to think of mers as a one-gender species.
