Lyrics:
Who am I? A face and hair A body Unfinished A reflection in glass Unreal
Questions I watch TV I listen to songs Talk about love Questions I don’t like your answers If I had one myself It would be wrong Too
Who are you? A look and a smile A promise Unfulfilled A reflection in my eyes Unreal
Questions I watch TV I listen to songs Talk about love Questions I don’t like your answers If I had one myself It would be wrong Too
Who are we? A boy and a girl An aching hunger Unfed A reflection of the times Of chance Of circumstance Unreal

Oh god no, they can't do this.
Leaking those could really get Jon in trouble.

Unless this Youtuber is the cast/crew who collectively threw up their hands and said, "Whatever, Disney," I think this is definitely not a good thing and we as a site should probably not be drawing attention to it. This is likely studio quality. There is nothing better than this. I'd love to be able to buy a CD someday to show my support, and if this leaks to enough people (and it's on Youtube, so that's a very real possibility), the chances of me being able to do that probably get even slimmer. That's a bummer.

They're leaking more. Ugh, for christ's sake...
Why can't they just take everything down.

That's a bummer. It's been 16 years, Disney's never gonna release them, Disney doesn't care about the show or the fans.

I basically agree with you. I guess more than anything, I feel like Youtube was one of the worst possible ways to release these songs. And I see their Fair Use legal stuff they've added to their videos, which protects them, but doesn't mean that the cast/crew member could never get in trouble for this release if they signed something in their contract that they'd never release the songs. It is possible that the contract expired, but I don't know that and I doubt this Youtuber does. Especially given what Jon has done for this fandom over the years, I feel like putting him at additional risk is just not cool.
It is very possible that nothing will come of this, but it'd be really upsetting if something did.

I agree that uploading the songs to youtube is not a cool move for all of the reasons mentioned above, but am I the only one laughing at the fact that the youtube name is Bricriu the Joker?

Well according to what the uploader is saying they will make those videos private on the 6th of June or something like that.. And there's not that many sw fans around hardly so I think it's gonna be all good. Hopefully

I don't know I have mixed feelings about it. The whole worried about Jon thing should be set aside. Out of the hundreds of people that worked on the show and the maybe 15 people that have access to those songs to this day, I doubt that somebody from Disney is going to see Youtube videos and think to give Jon Cooksey a ring. I just highly doubt anybody giving more than two fucks. Besides at face value the songs look like normal 'Mackenzie Phillips' posts anyway, it's not until you're actually listening to video and reading the video notes that you realize these songs are full studio leaks. I don't know. Like I say I'm mixed about it but glad fans get a chance to finally hear this stuff after so long.

I do agree that it's unlikely that Disney will blame Jon for the leak, but the only interest Disney has ever shown in So Weird is in keeping it off youtube so I don't think it was a wise move to put the music up there. They might put the songs through the copy-right detector thing, preventing even the tv versions of the songs from being able to be on youtube without being automatically blocked for copyright infringement, same thing they did with the episodes.
And even if nothing comes out of it, it's still a pretty shitty thing to betray someone's trust by receiving something with the understanding that it should be kept privately and then leak it on such a public platform.
