I was looking around in the settings and I noticed that you could use a domain name for this forum. That's if any of us wanted to. And a cost for a domain is cheap, and we could buy one at godaddy.com and the domain so-weird.net is available and I wondered would you guys like to have that for this forum? If we all did I couldn't buy it at the moment since I'm completely broke, It's been rough these past few months with my family, high bills plus they took away our food stamps. and now my Anxiety is getting alot worse and that case worker of my brother is gonna try to help me with that. By trying to get me an SSI check, that's IF I can't work, But If I can work that's fine too lol, I just need help getting this Anxiety under control. Anyway if I get a SSI or a job, Don't care which, I was seriously thinking about buying it. But I wondered what you guys would think of it?

Sorry to hear what you're going through. I hope everything turns out okay. As for getting a domain name, even though I'm in my 20s I'm about to sound like a baby boomer with this question but: what exactly is that for / what does it do? ...lol

So sorry to hear that you're going through a lot right now II don't think there's anything wrong with using proboards, but I know nothing about domains. If it's just about changing the url, then it seems kind of silly to spend money on it. Unless, of course, it turns into one of those cases where people think it's an official site and then Disney wants the url and you make them pay you lots of money for it and you get rich. But's that's pretty unlikely XD

Hope everything works out for ya MP. As to domains, it's common for fansites to take a .net similar to the original and nothing happening. I'm sure Disney is at least .1% aware of the domains it has bought and owned in the past, so I don't think this would even ping on their rader (yet... ). But it isn't necessarily worth doing unless you have someone who can provide for the site for a good long while, as, say, part of their disposable income. In any case, I find so-weird.proboards.com refreshingly '90s.

Sorry to hear about your tough times. Its probably not necessary to get a domain now, but the cost is generally under $10 a year from most registrars. You can also look in to .info, which is usually even cheaper and has far more options open when it comes to naming. But GoDaddy is evil, avoid them like the plague.
