Molly Phillips, a touring musician, prepares to perform at a Chicago waterfront; her daughter, Fi, investigates the drowning death of a boy on the SS Eastland that still haunts the building where his body was brought following the disaster, present-day Harpo Productions.

I think I read that this wasn't the original pilot, that the second episode was? But I still think this is a great pilot/1st episode. Includes everything you want: creepy ghosts, great character introductions, great sibling interaction, rick mentions, Fi's persistence, nice ending with the ghosts reuniting.

Your right, there was another pilot, I remember seeing the script online somewhere not to long ago, If I find it I will post it!

This is one of the best episodes. It had a good horror vibe to it and a very nice ending. Definitely better than the ending of the other pilot.

Just found an article that states that Mrs. O'Leary's cow was not responsible for the Great Chicago Fire ( X) All I could think about when reading it was this episode and Jack going: "Maybe it was the ghost of Mrs. O'Leary's Cow-- Mooooo!"

Does anyone know why they switched actresses for Irene? I remember my mom telling me one time that she was watching something on E about that actor, and she said that the actor didn't like the role, cause she wasn't into the paranormal stuff.

That's interesting. I just looked her up on IMDb and it looks like she acted in a few paranormal things after that. I guess everyone changes their mind.

Teryl Rothery. She is most known for her role on Stargate SG-1.

Unfortunately this video has been blocked. I wish disney would stop blocking so weird stuff on youtube especially if they don't ever intend on giving us a boxset of the series!

Okay, take 2. First of all, Hi. I will set up an avi later, when I have more time. Secondly, I noticed that the second video for the first episode was blocked on YT. So i thought I would do some searching and find a new copy. To start off my membership, here is a link to a working video. So Weird S01E01Quality isn't the best, and I would have preferred to embed the video, but what can you do.
