Okay, so has anyone here seen the tv show called Charmed before? You know Prue's talent/capability to move things with her mind? Well, I've often wondered about the power of the mind and thought and sometimes I feel like maybe some of that stuff works or could be possible
For instance just now, I was out with someone on the roof of the apartment building trying to open the door to go up to the roof and it was too dark and there were many keys so once they got it in they wanted to give up and go back down because they were struggling to turn it, then I let them know that I didn't want to so they tried again, and I sort of focused on them turning it and, even moved my hands the way the character Piper would to freeze time but of course I was staring at the lock wanting for it to work and viola -it worked that time; perhaps it's the whole 'I think I can, I think I can' thing.
Logically it would make sense that it was simply a coincidence and that I perhaps watched way too much television growing up-- but besides that, many people would agree at least that the mind is powerful and if we can control our own actions, plan ahead, and achieve goals with the right mindset-- so then maybe the mind is even stronger than that too
For example, one time, years ago, I was on a treadmill at the gym and was thinking about this guy and then boom- he texted me right then and there; I even told him that it was weird and that I was just thinking about him (maybe I shouldn't have done that)--- Now of course, that is slightly different, although it still pertains to this in that it's about making things happen with your mind, and I'm willing to bet that that was just a coincidence, especially since it was a guy that I was maybe thinking about a lot at that time- him texting me during one of those times was pretty high, but who knows.
What do you think about this type of thing and have you had any experiences like this?
Anyone know any good books or other types of material on this?
