Are there any other shows like So Weird?
Quality show that was forgotten about by the studio and never released on DVD or for purchase.

From Disney, there are a few. The Famous Jett Jackson and The Jersey are actually the only two that pop into mind. At least I've never heard about them after their time.

Yes. Strange Days at Blake Holsey High (aka Black Hole High). It's a Canadian series about a group of students at a boarding school where strange things happen due to a black hole in the science teacher's office. Similiar to So Weird, it was a monster/problem of the week type of show (with the seemingly supernatural problems being explained with science) that had a really interesting overarching story arch about uncovering the mystery of what happened at this abandoned science lab behind the school owned by a prominent donor to the school. Also similiar to So Weird, Henry Winkler was an Executive Producer. It's a really great series that you can still enjoy as an adult and was nominated for several awards, including Outstanding Writing. The company who produced the show went bankrupt after the third season, so the creator opted to go for the darkest too-dark-for-a-children's-series ending possible so the network would have to renew it. Renewing wasn't financially possible, but they did get a three-episode "movie" to wrap up the series and tie up the loose ends so it's much more satisfying than the conclusion to So Weird. In 2004, season 1 was supposed to be released but then it was pulled with no explanation. And since it aired on Discovery Kids, it isn't as well-remembered as shows from Nickelodeon or Disney but it is one of the best children's series that I've rewatched as an adult. I highly recommend it. First episode below: www.veoh.com/watch/v18141106wqmKprEW

If you like Australian shows, you might try "Ocean Girl," "Spellbinder," or "Thunderstone" - they tend to have season-long, not series-long, arcs, though. They don't meet the the OP's criteria, though, as they were released on DVD.

Tommy Cooper's variety shows of the 60s and 70s are unreleased over here, along with the compilation shows that came out in the 90s after his untimely death. He is an underrated genius, and more American's should know about him, he always puts a smile on my face. I've had to import DVDs from the UK, and often times I'm buying blindly. I don't know what I'm getting but in some ways thats the fun of it, waiting over a month for them isn't though, and some stuff you can only get on UK websites, there is a six DVD set from the Netherlands that I'm dying to get, but its a bit pricey.
