I think the shared email accounts are because one person knew how to work the internet better than the other or spent more time on it while the other rarely used it. At least that's why my parents still share an email account-- my mom hardly ever uses it and when she does she needs help logging on.
They also might have been limited to the amount of screen names they could have. I remember on AOL you were limited to 7 screen names per master account.

^ Agreed. I remember back when my grandma was alive I had my own email and she also had hers. I shared hers for communication with family members, but mine mainly used for my friends and teachers. Though, honestly, I didn't use it nearly as much as I do now. I think that username was primarily so I can use yahoo! messenger.

I was looking for a magazine article about their ages for some Clui Flu research and found an interview with Patrick Levis from 1999 (season 1) that says Fi is 14 and Jack is 15. In Fountain, Jack is 16 while Fi is 14 though so I don't know if it's inaccurate or if the show's writing was just inconsistent with ages or if Jack was a year and a half older than Fi instead of the two years older I thought he was. Did we ever get any idea when Annie was born? I think we're told at some point she is a year younger than Fi. I'm not certain, though.

I've been trying to figure this out, too. Now, we've learned that Fi was born February 10th, 1985. Jack's birthday is August 17th. So Jack is 16 in "Fountain" which is Christmas 1999, so he was born August 17, 1983. But in "Drive" he's getting his license. They said "license" and not "permit" right? But, despite airing in September, it's set in early summer (Clu has a couple months until he goes away to college), so Jack should still be 15. This site says a 15.5 year old can get a "driver's awareness permit" in Colorado, but I'm not sure what that is, or if it existed in 1999. I know a lot graduated licensing programs have been introduced in recent years, though the ones I'm aware of are the ones for 16-18 year-olds that restrict their driving. I see some changes were put into effect July 1, 1999, but those changes are probably too late to have affected the writing/filming/planning of the episode.

I think I made a timeline for birthdays and such when I started one of my fanfics....I'll have to dig it out and see what I wrote.

's ~45 in "Fall" - it's the 35 year anniversary of his 10-year-old friend's death.

Did we ever get any idea when Annie was born? I think we're told at some point she is a year younger than Fi. I'm not certain, though. Well, in "Pen Pal" Molly says Annie is 15. If she's said to be 14 earlier in the season, then we know her birthday has to be between August-May, since the season started at the beginning of the school year, and the school year has not ended yet in "Pen Pal." Not sure what time of year it is (aired in March, though) because I can't make out the postmark to see if there's a date there (video quality not good enough - we need dvds). However, in "The River" Annie says she's been "came here six months ago", so we might be able to put make it Aug-February for the third season. Thoughts?
