So I just read an article about Invader Zim getting a comic book release because the story never ended in the creator's mind and now he wants to share what the character's have been up to with the world. I am insanely jealous because this would be perfect for So Weird. It still kills me that we never found out what happened to Rick and that there used to be so many rumors about a So Weird movie that never happened. A comic would allow us to backtrack to Twin, get the original ending and the original season 3 (and beyond!) and keep the likeness of the characters in tact, which would be impossible with a live-action reboot or next-generation type of deal. I know it's unlikely, but I still wanted to share the idea with you guys because we can always dream.

Ahhhh, dreaming is nice. =] I'd love it, really. Any continuation of the original storyline would be great.
Having said that, I've read the first season of Buffy comics (a continuation of the show) and I didn't really like them. It didn't feel the same, and part of that had to do with the fact that the scope became so much larger once it became a comic. There was no TV budget, so everything became larger than life and ridiculous. I guess one difference is that Buffy wasn't so much resolving a plotline left hanging, but jumping into a new storyline.
I'd want the comic book continuation for So Weird to be whatever they planned for TV but in comic form, not whatever they planned but "better/bigger/etc," as tempting as it'd be.
It'd be so great. -Sigh-

Times like these I really wish I had some artistic talent. I would draw a So Weird comic myself based on the notes we got of the original season 3 if I had the artistic ability. I'd give anything to have these characters brought back to life.
The tv budget is a good point. I wonder how different Strangeling would have been if they did it comic-book style instead of using dragon-POV shots to try to hide how bad the special effects were. And I remember hearing that Encore only exists because they needed a low-budget episode and the dialogue in that episode is brilliant. It would be difficult to translate an episode like Encore into a comic, but even without the music and aesthetic I'd still love to see where the story goes.

I need bunches of So Weird art created by fans in my life.
That's a good point about "Strangeling." It would be much more dramatic in comic form, but in a good way. And yeah, the songs wouldn't work out... unless they had a comic book that came with a music CD? That'd be interesting, but expensive, haha. Has anyone ever done that before? Probably.

The closest thing I can think of are those Sight n Sound children's books that were popular in the 90s that came with buttons on the side you could press for audio sounds. It might be pretty morbid to press a button and hear DEMONS COME FROM EVERY SIDE, but it would be a great novelty item.
Sigh. If only we could work for Disney and be in charge of So Weird merch. The possibilities would be endless.

It would be interesting, but personally, I think I would prefer just a book continuation in the form of a novel. I've thought of planting the idea in Jon Cooksey's mind, but I somehow doubt anything would come of it. XD

That's a hilarious idea, Cat! I had a few of those books when I was younger.
Yeah, all of this is just hypothetical. If I ever win the lottery, y'all know I'll be buying the rights. =P

I had this idea for some time now, but like everyone else I have no drawing skills. I'm really wanting to learn how to draw and if I did this is what I would be doing but I would need someone who's good at writing fanfiction or have ideas for episodes.
