What other shows did you like around the same time you watched So Weird? When I was 8-10, my 3 favorite shows were So Weird, The Wild Thornberries, and The Secret World of Alex Mack. I also really liked Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Are You Afraid of the Dark, and The Journey of Allen Strange.

Weirdly, I don't think I committed to a lot of shows back then. Most of my time with the TV was watching MTV and other music channels when they actually aired music videos. Those were the days...
As for actual shows... I was in love with Lizzie McGuire. Like... for real. Hilary Duff was one of my first major celebrity crushes. I also remember watching a lot of That's So Raven and Phil Of The Future, but I think those came sometime after So Weird. Also Rugrats, Powerpuff Girls, Pokemon... Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles and Power Rangers. The good stuff! XD

Was very into all the Disney shows surrounding the So Weird time. The Torkelsons, Flash Forward, and Ready or Not especially. Loved Bug Juice to and Growing Pains, Brotherly Love, Dinosaurs, Timon and Pumbaa.

Looks like you had some good taste. Dinosaurs, Recess, Lloyd in Space, Bonkers, Kim Possible, The Emperor's New School, Goof Troop, and Are You Afraid of the Dark are some of my favorites. My favorite show of all is The Twilight Zone.

I recently realized that around the same time as So Weird there was also Gilmore Girls-- I watched that series in the beginning but eventually stopped keeping up with it and never saw the ending Now that it's on Netflix I went back to check it out and it totally took me back to that time in my life-- I even teared up a bit because it reminded me of what/how my life was back then (similar prep. schools and a lot of identifying with the show and time period) serious nostalgia will get me almost every time

I love Gilmore Girls! I just rewatched the whole series last summer so I'm not Netflix-binging it like everyone else is, but I'm glad more people are remembering that show. I really only loved the Chilton years, though. And the first year at Yale. After that, Rory just seemed to become less and less like herself.

I know! Right, LittleDuck? I totally agree- must be the reason I stopped watching the series as it progressed but now I feel like I might give it a chance again and maybe see it through now that the series has ended like forever ago almost. I can see certain similarities in Rory and Fi too; they are both smart, intellectually curious & stimulated women and in a certain sense I think they are good role models. Fi left So Weird so we never saw her change in any way and Rory yeah I felt as she dated Logan and went to Yale (not the almighty Harvard which was her goal) that she became someone other than the initial Rory everyone fell in love with and it's not only that she grew up or didn't go to Harvard because even in the beginning there are subtle changes, even in her way of talking and while dating Dean- In the pilot she seemed totally mature and real- her voice was even deep/neutral and as the show progresses I feel she makes it higher at times, which some women do at times, I understand but I thought the initial Rory was such a breath of fresh air that got everyone hooked A lot of shows are like that, they start off great/original and inspired and then sort of trail off into something else or another direction as they progress

That's a really great comparison!
-Sigh- Now I'm craving a So Weird fic about Fi in her college years to see how she might have developed. It's a pity we only had Fi for two years.
