So, I just started a travel blog! Well, right now it's more about my process with researching and saving up to travel the world, after I am done with school. Once I invest in a DSLR, I actually plan to expand it to include photography as well. I would expand it now, but the only camera I have access to is my phone camera so my photography now isn't up to par with what it could be.

It's really inspiring to see someone plan to travel that much! My biggest regret in college is not going to study abroad or on a mission trip or something because I couldn't afford it, but now that I've graduated and have been paying back student loans I've realized that I couldn't even afford college but that didn't stop me so I shouldn't have let it stop me from traveling either. I'll already be paying them back for the next 10 years anyway, what's a little more Your enthusiasm is really clear and I think it's cool that you've started your blog with the planning process-- that in itself is a huge step! I really hope you get to your destination someday!

Thank you! I was actually having a conversation with one of my friends who I was getting advice from as I was setting up the blog, she mentioned loving that I decided to start it with the planning/researching process and I said I hoped it would be inspiring to others who have similar dreams of seeing the world but think they can't because of money reasons. I mean, travel can be basically free. Of course it costs some, but about $30/day is possible and not bad at all. It's the tourism industry that makes it look expensive, just because they want your money.

This is great, Mel! I am very lucky to have had so many opportunities to travel. I wasn't involved in a lot of the planning for our trips, but if you have any questions about destinations in Western Europe, I can try and help! That's where I've visited the most.

This is inspiring! I haven't traveled on my own out of the state or country (only with family), but have dreams of visiting foreign countries and road tripping across America. I hope you don't mind, but I went ahead and followed you on Twitter after seeing the sidebar on the blog.

LOL, thanks! I don't mind at all! Happy to see people are liking it. Especially considering some big things coming, like my first trip abroad this winter. (I finally decided to go to Vancouver!)
