This is a really great thread idea! I have a document of fic ideas and I've started a couple of them, but for some reason never get around to finishing.
For some reason your first one reminds me of Hannah Montana and I think it has great potential for a comedic, sitcom-like story.
My list is:
-Fi’s daughter is just like her. She keeps her forays into the supernatural a secret and goes missing. Daughter Kathleen is raised by Jack and is just like her.
-How Rebecca’s Parents Met: traveling the world, run into each other by chance.
-Fi Phillips meets the Wicked Witch of the West.
-Mysterious woman who appears young but is really old and gains her beauty by sucking the life out of the guys who fall in love with her. Several men have already died when the MP tour bus rolls into town. Clu and Carey both fall for her, pitting brother against brother in a deadly love triangle that Fi hastens to break it up and destroy the old witch. Jack is unaffected, as Gabe’s angel necklace protects him.
-Clu is really into directing movies. He and Jack grow up to have a friendly competition between their fields, with Jack being into static photography and Clu being into moving pictures. Clu video tapes Jack’s wedding and Jack is the photographer for Clu’s wedding.
-Set during Muse: Carey is the one to discover Molly’s muse. Molly’s muse instantly falls for Carey. Carey has a crisis of whether he is in love with Molly or the muse.
-Molly thinking that Jack was too young to remember her drinking days after Rick passed away, but he wasn’t. And when Molly falls off the wagon after her record deal gets dropped and a journalist accuses her of having a hand in Rick’s death, Jack cleans up after her and willingly accompanies Fi to Skinwalker Ranch (which he refused earlier) to keep her from finding out the truth.
-Alternate Lightening Rod: Fi gives the ring to Jack instead. There is no Annie. Weird stuff starts happening to Jack instead. For a writing class we had to fill an entire notebook by the end of the semester and a good portion of mine was spent on plot ideas based on the season 3 we got and the original. It was basically my way of righting a few wrongs in the season 3 we got and fixing some plot holes and OOC-ness:
- Lightening Rod: After Bricriu talks Fi into giving up the search for her father, she decides to move in with Aunt Melinda. Jack gets upset that she isn't supporting Molly's first huge tour and record deal. Fi gives Jack the ring as a means to make amends.
- Doppleganger: Jack begins having dreams/flashbacks of an Arthurian castle. Reluctant to sleep, he starts wandering around the house at night and notices some ghostly behavior (Rick, unable to move on because Bricriu's boss is still putting the family in danger). Meanwhile, Molly starts working on the new album.
- Ouija: Jack's weird friend Mike is interested in an even weirder girl who brings a ouija board over. Jack thinks it's dumb but goes along with it anyway because Mike begs him to go along with it so he can impress the girl. It accurately predicts Jack's test score, whether weird girl is really into Mike, and what number Molly's new song will be on Billboard 100. Molly finds the board and gets upset, but when it says there's another person in the house they both start to take it seriously.
- Still Life: The ghostly presence in the house disturbs Molly to the point of convincing her to sell the house. Jack is upset, but understanding-- and then pissed off that he has to help pack Fi's things in addition to his own. While packing, he pockets the translator from Roswell with the intention of using it to prank call Fi, pretending to be an alien. He also finds an old picture of his great grandmother Fiona, wearing the same ring Fi had given him. As he examines the picture, his ring glows and he finds himself inside the picture, outside of the castle he's seen in his dreams. He receives a cryptic message from Fiona about his past life as a knight and hints of witches in Molly's lineage. He escapes the painting by accepting his destiny as a knight, but then convinces himself he dosed off while packing and it was just a dream.
- Solar System: Jack has to build a model of a solar system for school. Clu comes to visit from college and "helps". While goofing off, they accidentally destroy the model. Jack uses the translator from Roswell as a replacement piece, reminiscent of the structure John Kane made in Transplant. Clu makes the connection (Fi had told him all about it) and explores his personal philosophy of the universe. Jack contacts John to gain insight on what his structure is used for and donates his model to the cause after it's graded.
That's as far as I got planning each chapter, but I wanted 26 chapter/episodes and I still have the list of plot holes and threads I wanted to address (stuff like the alien storyline and where Rick was going the night he died) and notes on possibilities for addressing them.
I did start another fic years ago that borrowed elements from season 3 and the original season 3. It had an overall plot about Jack having to take care of Fi after Molly is killed because I wrote it when I was 13 after reading The Outsiders. I never finished it and Rebecca is a little OOC because I was writing from memory, before episodes were available on youtube but it's still up if anyone wants to check out:
