While visiting Molly's old high school, Jack and Annie get trapped in a time warp by a strange watch that puts them into a detention class in the 1970s.

Not bad. Kinda silly (Genius mad scientist = high school teacher), but a fun episode.

I was only a quarter of the way into my season 2 rewatch before Disney+ snatched it away. I held off for a while, but I finally caved and just moved on to season 3 rewatch.
I just can't get on board. I don't like the bright/bold color palette of the season. I don't like the made-up weirdness (this episode seemed so silly as opposed to most of the phenomenon Fi encountered being based in some kind of existing lore/mystery). I don't like the no-context voice-over in the beginning by Annie.
In this episode, there is one thing that works well (until it doesn't) and that is Jack missing Fi and how that motivates much of the interpersonal and narrative conflict here. But the resolution is SO contrived and cringeworthy.
The "One in a Million" song in this episode, though, is definitely the only song I actively remember from season 3 over the past 18 years.l I remember they turned this into a music video that aired on Disney Channel at the time. It's such an earworm that's persisted all these years. But the actual scene where they are singing is also cringe inducing like so much of season 3.

Only 3 episodes into season 3 and I can already tell this is going to be painful... I’m not sure I actually will be able to get through this season. My biggest question for this episode: Why is Mr. Cox like the same age as Molly She said he was her teacher in high school yet he is nearly the same age as her? Was he a kid genius who was teaching high school science They couldn't have cast someone older Season 3 is a completely different show. This like a Disney show, in contrast to season 1 and 2 which did not.

The like the beginning episodes of season 3, I also love season 3 as it is... I just wish there could have been a season 4 with Fi & Annie!!!

Something I realized as I was watching it for the podcast... while the third season is super cheesy throughout, it does get better toward the end. All the best S3 episodes are in the second half of the season... I think because by then, Alexz has had the opportunity to grow into her character and it's not quite as forced as in the beginning, IMHO.

I remember watching this one, A LOT, back in the day, so it holds a special place, in my heart. That being said, I'm an Annie & Jack shipper while being a Jack & Gabe shipper. I can't decide!
