This is perhaps an awkward question, but is there any plan to replace the file-sharing links with high-quality rips from Disney+? On the one hand, I wouldn't want any distraction from an influence on Disney to release the series on DVD. On the other hand, Disney tends to be crappy at releasing DVDs of old shows even without the whole "barely acknowledging Zoog Disney days" thing, and with Disney+, it seems plausible that they would phase shows in and out of availability (i.e. putting them in the Disney Vault). It's possible that one day, So Weird would stop being available and would never be offered again (like the once-in-a-lifetime glitch allowing a girl's brain to communicate with the Internet), so there would be cause to take advantage of the availability while it exists. For the sake of media preservation, if nothing else, I think there should be some priority placed on fast ripping... if, indeed, that is accepted as a worthwhile course of action...
There is no doubt in my mind that people will be ripping these episodes on the internet somewhere, probably immediately after the service launches, so you have no fear of the high quality version of these episodes being lost forever (someone will be making DVDs, I'm sure!).
However, I am of the opinion that once the show becomes available to watch legally (yay!!!), we should not encourage people to download or watch the episodes illegally on this forum or as a fandom. This is not merely the goody two shoes coming out in me. I know a lot of people have expressed interest in having the show getting an official DVD release, an official CD release, or a reboot/revival, and at this time the best way we can promote this is by giving the show views on the Disney+ streaming service.
Will Disney remove the show from Disney+? I will never say never on that, but Disney+ has been described as a way of ending the Disney Vault system and there was a quote from Bob Iger somewhere that they will not be removing content once added (can't find it this morning but will look for it later).

I don't think the show will be all that difficult to find elsewhere. And if someone comes on here asking for links because the show isn't on D+ in their country, obviously people will share. But I don't think we should advertise that we have the links anymore, and I don't think we should keep the links posted freely. We need to encourage everyone to watch on D+. This show needs views. If the show ever did go off of D+, it would probably be due to lack of views or parental complaints about the show's content, so views are really important in order for the show stay on D+ and reach the widest audience possible.
And I know nothing about residuals but if Chris Gibson really did get residuals from Disney because So Weird was coming to D+, we need to encourage everyone to watch on D+ to support the people involved with this show, too.

The good news is D+ will allow unlimited downloads, so there may not be a need to rip the episodes, especially since they will allegedly allow users to keep their downloaded content even if the content leaves the service. Link to that info here
Hey guys, in case you don't know yet, the episodes are already available via new torrents, 480p, audio in english, latin american spanish and french, and subs in english and norwegian. I actually came by to ask anyone who might be able to do it, if you could get the latin american spanish audio for the episode Rebecca, and share it somehow. Disney+ won't come to my country until late 2020, and I'm not sure that so weird will be on it (I don't think it ever got to be really popular here, and I think it might have actually aired on a different channel than disney). The torrent I mentioned is pretty neat, but I just found out that the spanish audio for that episode has a problem, it skips 8 seconds right in the middle, and ends up completely out of sync afterwards. I don't even need the whole episode, I can add the audio by myself, but if anyone could record it, I'd be eternally grateful (and I know this community has always been really good at getting hold of the very best available options for watching so weird in any language that could be found out there ).
I've been downloading the torrents and seeding too.
Also, if anyone wants to help, I'm uploading the English subs from the torrent to Addic7ed, someone could upload the Dutch one, I'll upload the brazilians ones once I translate them. That way we can really have this out there.
