Hello all! My name is Kathleen. You can call me Kate or Banshee, whatever you'd like. I'm not too sure what to put in here but I did want to at least introduce myself. I watched So Weird from Season 1 till it was sadly cancelled. I was not the biggest fan of Annie because it felt like a completely different show in the way they abandoned everything from previous seasons but there are episodes of hers that I really enjoyed such as the episode with the watches with Annie and Jack. I think I was mostly upset because Cara was gone and I wanted more Molly singing. Banshee was probably the most memorable episode for me besides for Twin and Changeling. I remember hiding under the sheets in my parents room watching that episode on their little tv. When the banshee started screaming we screamed and then it went to commercial. Of course we freaked out and then found out we were home alone because my parents had gone to pick up pizza for dinner. So we screamed some more. And were convinced the banshee had gotten my family. Haha Great times watching So Weird. I'm a creative writing major in my final year of university. My favorite thing to of course is about supernatural things. I'm pretty sure So Weird is partly to blame for this. I also used to watch a lot of AYAotD so that helped. (Had the BIGGEST crush on Gary.) I'm minoring in theatre because I took a bunch of classes while studying abroad in Ireland and England and had enough to do it. I'm a huge Shakespeare nerd and really really good at research and random facts of things people probably don't care about at all. And I watch way too many shows. Most of which get cancelled. I know a lot about folklore and fairy tales and use them in a lot of stories or else just randomly burst into storytelling mode and regale my friends with the different versions of random fairy tales and how they changed over time. (If you like The Little Mermaid I will try not to make you cry like I accidentally did to my friend. EVERYTHING ENDS HAPPILY. DO NOT MIND ME.) So yes...that is me. Feel free to ask me any questions or just talk to me about anything. I have tons of friends around the world and around the states. I love making new friends. If any of you know Maureen Johnson the writer, I am like her in that I collect people and put them in jars because you are all like little fireflies...I mean what? No. No I don't. I also tend to ramble and go on tangents when I have not had much sleep or have had a really long day, like today. So hopefully I haven't scared everyone off. THE END.

Think the majority of fans felt the same way. But it is great to see Annie fans too, we're all in this together keeping the show alive. Ah you studied abroad, that must have been amazing! Great stuff Kate! Banshee is great. Are there any other shows you like and how did you find us!

Great stuff Kate! Banshee is great. Are there any other shows you like and how did you find us! Studying abroad was really amazing! I did a communications class where I had to give a speech while in Ireland and did it on Banshees. SCORE. Normally it's a full semester class and you have to do around 3 speeches. So woo for studying abroad and having class for two weeks in a foreign country. Ireland really is like magic and full of magic things every foot or so. AND SO GREEN. I also studied twice in England. Did Shakespeare there and went to The Globe and such. Really great stuff. I'm a huge Anglophile so I might slip back and forth between normal english and British type talking just because I watch/read too much of it. haha Other shows I like are anything by Joss Whedon, basically all the old Nick and Disney shows like Shelby Woo, Famous Jett Jackson, all the DCOM movies, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Hey Dude, etc. Slightly more current shows: Supernatural, Doctor Who, Primeval, Sherlock, Rizzoli and Isles, Haven, Teen Wolf, Merlin, NUMB3RS, Lie to Me, Charmed, Kyle XY, TInTin, SeaQuest DSV, Red Dwarf, Spaced etc. I have a very wide range. haha You name it and I've probably at least seen an episode. Edit: I found you guys because I went to the "Banshee" episode on IMDB and saw the post. I rewatched it today because I have a really bad quality soundtrack and listened to The Rock today. I had a better version but my computer crashed a little while ago and I lost everything I'd gotten including my Bricrui screensaver! SAD.

Welcome to the forums, Kate!
Did you study abroad in London both times you were in England? I ask because I studied abroad over there, too. I was at Harlaxton College, which is near Grantham in Lincolnshire.
And where did you study in Ireland? Did you visit the Cliffs of Moher like Molly? =]

=] I was actually in Rugby my first time which was a week long trip. We explored near London places like Stratford Upon Avon and such. My second trip was last year for a full month and it was to London but I went to some neighboring areas and such like Oxford and Cambridge for a day. (I saw Hamlet performed at the Bodleian Library. It was The Globe's traveling cast. I saw them twice when they came to the states a few months later. It was the best cast I've ever seen. Which is saying something because Hamlet is my favorite Shakespeare Play.) I was staying in Univisity College of London dorms while I was there. There's a program in Bath I want to get into to study at for a Masters Degree. What were you over for/how long? I love hearing about other people's experiences. For Ireland we went all across the country starting in Dublin and ending in Shannon. We went to Listowel, Newport, The Aran Islands, and Galway. There were a few other stops like indeed The Cliffs and Bunratty Castle. It was beautiful. I met the writer Darren Shan at a writers festival in Listowel. The year after John Lynch who was in The Secret of Roan Inish and The Secret Garden was there. He now writes. I WAS SO MAD I MISSED HIM. I was in love with him from age 4-5 up. Haha If you haven't seen The Secret of Roan Inish you NEED TO. IT is amazing. And Tadgh when he tells stories, his voice is just magic. John Lynch is just amazing. I actually made a friend in Ireland and when I was in London last year he was over to work in an Irish pub for the Olympic rush that was happening. So that was nice. I really didn't think I'd see him again or at least not in England.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time over there! I'd love to see Shakespeare performed by the Globe's cast. I've caught a few performances in Stratford by the RSC, but never at the Globe. I hope you get into the program at Bath! I love the area around there.
Were you in London during the Olympics, then? That's really cool.
I've traveled to England/Europe quite a bit, but I studied abroad in England for a semester in 2010. I got to live with about 100 other students in this beautiful manor that was just two or three rooms shy of being a castle. It was such a cool experience. We got to travel around on our weekends. Some people went as far as Athens.

Dude listening to Hamlet echo off the stone walls of the Bodleain Library is amazing. It just makes it hit you that much harder the beautifulness of Shakespeare's words. Like. I can't describe it. I finally got to see The Tempest at the RSC last year. It is one of my other top three plays. It was actually my favorite until I finally read Hamlet. I really hope I do too! It is amazing. Bath Spa university has a MA in Writing for Young People. You have a publishable manuscript by the time you graduate. Either a set of children's books texts or a novel. They teach you how to for ages 0-young adult. I WANT IT SO BAD I CAN TASTE IT. We actually left like 3 days short of the Olympics. I really wish I'd stayed longer but I couldn't make it work. It was amazing though. I'm still really close with a lot of people from the trip. There were about 100 of us. It was a Georgia trip so everyone in the state of Georgia could apply to go. I didn't know anyone before the trip really but I made som really great friends by the time we left. I wish we'd stayed in a castle! That's so awesome! We did weekend trips like Scotland and things like that. I mostly just did the nearby ones like Oxford and Cambridge to see shows. I know a group went to France but apparently that is not a good place to go for a weekend trip. Or else it was a bad weekend. Not sure which is the truer fact.

Welcome to the forum from a fellow writer and fairy tale fan! Banshee had a really great song btw: good episode for music and I like how Molly repaired her strained relationship with her father. I'm with you about Annie, I'm not her biggest fan either and so far am really missing Fi's presence and the general tone shift in season 3.
