Of course Alexz signing on to anything Disney is never gonna happen, even though she lives in LA now. She does want to put more focus on acting, but knowing her, that focus will be on Season 4 of Blue and a few Lifetime horror movies. XD Not to mention, if Alexz did sign on for Disney and they did bring back SW because of that, they'd probably only bring back season 3.

I know! I thought DuckTales was kind of a random choice to add to the app, but there's always a reason for everything.
I'm starting to wonder if with all this Disney TV nostalgia stuff going on right now (Disney Replay, DuckTales reboot, BMW spinoff), now might be our best chance to get a movement together for So Weird (on DVD, on TV, CD, whatever). I just don't know what we could do about it or if anything would take off. I hadn't heard anyone talking about wanting DuckTales back, but it's coming still. Cartoons are different, though. Gahhhh.

I know Alexz doing more Disney is probably not going to happen, but Disney doesn't seem to want to associate with anything before the channel revamp that occurred around season 3 and season 3 is the lightest and most likely to be shown on the watch disney app if they ever were to add So Weird to it.
In the Life with Derek fandom, there's a movement going on to support a sequel show that wasn't greenlit. A bunch of fans created a video montage of people sharing fanvids they've created and vlogs of themselves talking about what the show meant to them and thanking the cast and crew for all their work to let them know they're appreciated even if the sequel show is a no-go.
We could always try something similar-- put the word out on the SW tumblrs asking people to share what the show meant to them through a vlog or just send in a message that we could read in it. We could talk about why we love the show, how much it still means to us, thank the cast and crew for creating an amazing show, and let them know that their work is still very much appreciated and we'd still buy it if we could. If we sent the video over twitter to those with accounts and they retweeted it, the show might get some more recognition.

That sounds like a really fun idea! How are we going to get people to help make a video, though? We barely got anyone to send a tweet to Disney about getting the show on TBTonDC.
You're right, though. If we're going to do it, we need to make a post on Tumblr to gauge interest and/or to see if anyone has any ideas.
We should probably also avoid putting clips and music from the show in our video, since the show hasn't been released in any way.

By putting the message out on every site we can-- tumblr, twitter, youtube, livejournal, etc-- asking people to either make their own vlog and send it to an email address we can set up for the project or send in a message and those of us doing vlogs can read the messages sent in. I'd be able to edit all of the vids together for the final product. We'd just probably have to make a few posts about it because finding a time where more people will see it is so unpredictable.
Good call on avoiding using stuff from the show in it-- we don't want Disney flagging it for copyright.

Agreed on making multiple posts. Tumblr is such a guessing game.
I don't know if I want to be in the video. I hate seeing myself on camera. >.<
We should get some more feedback from other people, and maybe we should make a new thread for this.

Watch Disney Channel doesn't have Disney Replay shows as an option at the moment. I don't remember them being removed at any point previously. May not mean anything. They could have just temporarily lost the rights. Guess we'll see!

. I just tried to get to it manually and apparently it is "not available or expired" which doesn't sound too optimistic... I'm hoping that they'll bring it back with different shows though because they've had the same group in rotation for a while.

The shows still aren't back. I'm wondering if they're phasing out Disney Replay now or if this is just a change for Watch Disney Channel. I definitely think they should add more shows, but I guess I'm biased.

Well that's sad. Does anyone know if they still do Throwback Thursday on the channel? Since it's only once a week I was never able to get into the habit of tuning in like I did with The 90s are All That (before getting bored with it after they stopped rotating the shows). So maybe they axed it due to low ratings.

It's still going on. Disney Channel's PR account tweets a reminder for it usually. I have no idea what the ratings are like, though. The website I used to go to for info has been on hiatus but will be back soon.

By the way, I found the link to the tweet that DisneyChannelPR sent out around the time Disney Replay started that mentioned So Weird. I think that this is probably the only time they've acknowledged So Weird in the past 12 or so years. We should get it framed! Haha.

We could use it as a picture for an Onion-esque article: Disney Channel Briefly Acknowledges Its Own Show
After nearly 15 years, Disney Channel has finally broken their silent rule: "Never mention So Weird." The once-beloved supernatural family drama was kicked to the curb in 2001 after a season of executive meddling and excessive pop music, presumably because the color scheme became so bright no one could look at it directly. The show spent one last year in reruns that aired at 2 in the morning (to the disappointment of all of its fans who had 9pm bedtimes) before disappearing from Disney's lineup forever. Executives of the channel have declined to comment on the show ever since.
DisneyChannelPR is the twitter handle that ultimately shattered the silence by retweeting an article titled "So Weird, That's So Raven and other shows we want to see on Disney Replay" When asked if this meant that Disney Replay would actually air So Weird, the twitter employee failed to comment. John from Watch Disney, however, replied "I understand the request for So Weird but we have no plans of releasing it from The Vault. Ever." He went on to say "This is best part of my job. Hearing what viewers like you want to see and then doing absolutely nothing about it. Oh, the magic of Disney!"
No Disney Channel employee or twitter has mentioned the show since and the employee responsible for the twitter mention was likely fired for his transgression.

Does that mean I should post it on tumblr? Imma post it on tumblr. Maybe we can tweet it to DisneyChannelPR for funsies and see what happens.
