UPDATE: Disney+ has confirmed here that So Weird will be on the streaming service on Day 1, November 12th.
-------
Disney's streaming service, Disney+, is set to launch on November 12, 2019. Disney's Twitter page tweeted out tons of information about Disney+ on its Investor Day April 11th. Here is one tweet of significance to So Weird fans:
When Disney made this announcement, they showed the following TV show posters to preview some of the selections that will be available. It's worth noting that all of these shows are from Even Stevens onwards.
We're all asking ourselves now if So Weird will make the cut. There is certainly reason to have doubts, as Disney has ignored So Weird's existence for so long.
However, we recently learned from Chris Gibson, the actor who played Rick Phillips, that he has received a residual check from his time on the show, which may indicate that the show will become available for viewing again soon.
Will you all be subscribing to Disney+ Is there any way So Weird fans can advocate for So Weird to be included in the streaming service? Do you all think it will be on there?

Do actors get residual checks every set period or is only when their show is going to be aired? I'm a bit confused about how they work. I will have to wait until 2020 to get the streaming service in the UK, so I will be anxiously awaiting news from all of you when it launches.

I think if shows aren't airing anywhere or available to purchase anywhere, it doesn't make much sense for actors to still be getting residual checks. But I don't know for sure!

This is extremely intriguing....
As far as I know, actors don’t get residual checks unless shows are being aired. So if he got a check for So Weird, that could very likely mean the show is going to be available at some point soon.
I would 100% subscribe to Disney+ if So Weird was offered. I otherwise would not be interested.

I really do believe this Disney+ thing is the BEST chance we will have to get the series back on AND it needs to be on so that new generations can experience the show.
I kind of miss the way cable used to be in the 80's and 90's when you would subscribe to channels and pay for them. The Disney Channel was originally like that... a premium channel that cost a bit more but the quality was amazing. When its just on basic cable, they don't have to fight for their customers anymore, they just become expected.
Spread the word, bug Disney, and if So Weird isn't on Disney+, don't buy it and don't recommend your friends buy it. Make it known your not buying it because So Weird (and I'm sure many other things) aren't on it. We've got to work to return power to the people a bit here!

D23 happened this weekend! There was a big panel and showcase for Disney+. Unfortunately, we still do not know if So Weird will be on the platform. It seems like they won't be releasing a complete list of shows, so we will just have to wait until Disney+ premieres.

Well I´m looking very foward to have Disney+ because before being a So Weird Fan I am a Disney Fan but talking about residuals.
They can depend in which channel it´s airing like (Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior or even International Disney Channels or even ABC and affiliated Disney channels). Also it may vary if the show is reruning at the evening, or later than midnight. Since Disney is hoping that Disney+ hits 30 M subs soon after the service reaches every international market the residuals may be a little higher, can be pennys, hundreds or thousands (I think it´s unlikely to be that high after all these years unless you´re FRIENDS), and of course the role you played is obviously important to say how much you´re going to win.
Also if So Weird does not premiere at the launch date we can suggest the TV Show at the costumer service part. For me I´d be really happy if they added the show with de widescreen (16:9) version even if it´s not HD. And don´t forget that So Weird being in every market, it would be a boost for the serie, even if not all the subscribers see it, but a lot of them might discover it and other Disney gems.
If it´s likely to happen, maybe, at launch date I´m unsure but well, fingers crossed right?

So Weird is included in this list attractionsmagazine.com/disney-plus-day-one-list/This list is not based of the Netherlands free trail but compiled from one person who somehow found a way to see the catalog for the launch date. So yes it's hopeful but it still isn't 100% legitimate!
